Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

I needed something to lift my spirits the other night and an instant gratification sewing project seemed like just the thing. I decided to make Little L some much needed lightweight pants using the  pattern from this book  (thanks to Mossgrownstone who reminded me of them on a KCCO post back in March). I just so happened to have an old shirt ready to be upcycled and finished the pants in less than twenty minutes. Perfection! Of course I didn't realize until after I was ready to add in the elastic that I didn't actually have any on hand. I am hoping to stop by the store tomorrow to pick some up and get these pants on my little guy.

I am also making slow progress on my greenfield cardigan. I foresee myself finishing this in 2015 or so.

What are you working on?!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

I LOVE that yarn, what a pretty color! I have that exact book and hope to make myself a cardigan from it this summer (I don't remember which one I had chosen to make). In the interim, I'm finishing my daughter's sweater first. As long as I have mine done in time for the fall, I'll be happy!
Love the green yarn - that is one of my favorite colors! I love instant gratification projects and upcycling, too. I shared my crafting, walking, and reading... those are the things that keep me calm! :)
Making tiny gnome and fairy decor is what is keeping me calm lately and sharing it is making me happy!
So thank you for hosting this lovely weekly party Nicole and thank you all for sharing and inspiring.

Warm greetings from Holland,
xxx sas
How fun that you can whip up a little pair of pants so quickly for a creative pick me up! ;o)
Thanks for hosting Nicole!

Lovely yarn!
I linked to my blog to show some new handspun yarn I finished, which is also green. I love checking out all the crafting going on with others. Thanks!
Beautiful green! I love instant gratification projects, especially in between larger projects.
2015 - ha! I know the feeling! Although it seems to take me forever just to knit a cardigan for Ted (7) , although I guess I could be working on it now ;) I haven't shared anything because I'm still trying to catch up with going through photos to post on my blog since my laptop died - and well, life has just been far too *interesting* for me to be sat on a computer!

The green is lovely and I look forward to seeing your finished cardigan eventually ;)
I hope everything it OK with you. Sending you much love. Dee xxx
