Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

I found myself with quite a bit of free time over the weekend which was just the inspiration I needed to pick up my Multnomah Falls shawl project (you know, the one Beowulf originally destroyed on me). I made a good amount of progress on it, well, a good amount for me - I am a slow knitter.

I thought I'd share a little behind the scenes glance of Little L helping me with my photos above. He felt I needed props such as daisies and bachelor buttons we found growing on the side of the road. I rather like his little additions, how about you?

What are you working on? Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

How sweet. Good choice of props too.

I'm trying hard not to add another knitting project, but I am missing knitting a sweater or something.
I had shingles last week and finally finished my Multnomah ;) I'm calling it my shingles shawl! So nice to see yours.

Oh goodness - I hope you are feeling much better!!
I taught myself to crochet when I had shingles a few years ago! Crochet was the only thing that could help get my mind off the itching!
Love the addition of the flowers - nice accent. :) Good work on the shawl! I am an extremely slow knitter, so I've mostly given up on knitting in general.
I saw the pictures on Ravelry yesterday, it's precious! And I love the yarn colour.
Love your helper! It is so nice to have helpers. Mine are grown but I still value their thoughts and opinions. Love the shawl. I have always wanted to knit it. Can't wait to see yours.
Oh, I am such a dope. I have somehow got in a right old pickle with adding my links. I only meant to put two on, and have even muddled up the links and names. Sorry! I don't know if you can sort them internally, or if not please take them off and I will try and put them on again properly.
Absolutely gorgeous photos as always. And of course it's those daisies from your little helper that really steal the show :D

I agree :) Maybe I need to hire him to help more often.
The color of the shawl is pretty. The little flowers from Little L are perfect!
WHat a beautiful color, I love your shawl. I'm always working on some kind of hands on project, it keeps me calm too. :)
The colorway on your yarn is lovely. Can you make me a new shawl too :) hehe
Lovely colour shawl, and I really liked seeing the name bachelor buttons (which is a name my mum uses, but otherwise I have not heard for a while).
Lovely knitting and the flowers really were needed- so clever!
I'm new to your blog, not sure how I have missed it in the past! But I will be back, its a lovely place to visit.
love the blue yarn you selected for this and look forward to seeing your finished shawl. best of luck keeping it out of Beowulf's clutches!
I so admire your perseverance working on larger projects! I find it hard to get work done on small projects!
